About

Welcome to my portfolio. This website will be used to showcase my contributions to medicine, law, and public policy over the past few years, as well as my academic credentials and real-world involvement in many community, professional, and academic projects. Throughout the page, you will see my passion for public service at a young age through my personal experiences, which allow me to find the motivation to seek change in healthcare policy.

Minh Pham is a recent graduate student at UCLA majoring in Biochemistry. Originally from Vietnam and as a Vietnamese American and son of a refugee, first-generation college student, and a Medi-Cal recipient himself who immigrated to the United States thirteen (13) years ago, Minh experienced many personal and academic obstacles. Minh spoke little to no English and had difficulty communicating with others at the beginning. Through several Vietnamese community service programs and tremendous experiences working with various communities, especially the medically underserved community, Minh realized he was not alone; he found others whom he could relate to, particularly the struggles of other immigrant and first-generation college students. Since then, he has been working tirelessly as a volunteer and community organizer from various nonprofit, private, and public sectors to advocate for our underserved, minority, and low-income communities in Orange County for better healthcare services and the voice of our community’s youth. Minh aspires to become a community physician-scientist.
